“As co-founder and Technical Director of COLLINS LIMITED my key aim is to deliver a high quality engineering service to our clients, bespoke to their project requirements. My main focus is to lead simulation, software and electronics engineering services centred around current and emerging technologies.
Prior to founding COLLINS LIMITED I headed the tyre simulation department at the Cooper Tire headquarters in the USA for five years delivering a unique and leading-edge CAD-integrated tyre design tool for the tyre development engineering team. After moving to the UK in 2012 I joined Wirth Research to develop vehicle models for the company’s world-leading Driver-in-the-Loop simulator for clients in Sportcars, Formula E, Indycar and Formula One.
Before moving from Australia to the US in 2007 my professional vehicle development journey started in Formula Student at New South Wales University, Sydney, where I led the vehicle dynamics group on vehicle dynamics and suspension design. Alongside my degree I gained experience in powertrain design and build running current and classic race-bred Porsches at PR Technology, current holders of the World Time Attack record.”
“As Operations Director and co-founder of COLLINS LIMITED my purpose is to deliver client projects on time, within budget and to their specifications. I look after and manage the design and physical testing facets of the business.
After 5 years in national and international motorsport in Australia, I moved to the UK to pursue a career in Formula One. I spent a number of years with both Jaguar Racing F1 and Williams F1 in their scale and full size wind tunnels. I returned to academia to pursue a Degree in Motorsport Engineering from Oxford Brookes, whilst leading and driving for the Formula Student team.
Prior to founding COLLINS LIMITED I spent eight great years at Wirth Research in R&D, latterly heading the department of ten staff. Projects ranged from desk top research at the start of a vehicle project, through sub system testing for hydraulic power steering units through to chassis impact testing and homolgation. Clients came from series such as Indycar, Le Mans 24hr and Formula One.”
